How is iStock consumed and how do I control it?
How is iStock consumed and how do I control it?
Updated this week

As soon as you download a video, your iStock media count is reduced by the amount of iStock used in the video.

If you re-edit and export the same video multiple times with the same iStock media it will not be counted again.

Using the same iStock asset in a different video will count towards your credits.

While generating a video, the AI will select and incorporate the best stock media available from our premium libraries like Storyblocks, Shutterstock, and iStock.

You can purchase an add-on, boost your plan, or upgrade to a higher plan to get more generation minutes. Check out invideo AI's pricing here.

The next section shows you how you can manage the amount of iStock used:

When you click download, the export panel will show you how many iStocks the video has used out of your monthly quota.

Managing how iStock is used:

When you limit or remove iStock, it will be automatically replaced with similar premium media from our Storyblocks and Shutterstock libraries, to which you have unlimited access. There are three ways to manage the amount of iStock used.

1. Limiting iStock from the drop-down in the workflow modal

You can select and set the amount of iStock that should be used from the iStock drop-down given in the workflow modal for all workflows.

A. Select a workflow.

B. Select the amount of iStock you would like to use in the video.

2. Prompting directly:

You can add a line in your video generation prompt to control the amount of the Stock.

Tip: Adding specific instructions using "settings:" indicates to the AI that this part is important.

3. Prompting the magic box if your video is generated.

If your video is already generated, you can prompt the magic box to control the number of iStock used in the video.

For example:

  • Replace all istock media

  • Remove istock media

  • Make istock media 0

If you manually replaced any media from the Media section with iStocks, then such iStocks won’t be removed by prompting via the Magic Box.
