How can I change the media duration?
Updated over a week ago

In invideo AI, the duration of each media is automatically determined by the AI based on the length of the footage.

Below we will show you how you can increase the media duration -

Increasing the media duration if more than one media is in the same segment.

If you have two or more media clips in the same segment, each 4 seconds long (with no grey lines in the middle), you can increase or decrease the duration of the media.

To adjust the duration of your media, select the pen icon and uncheck the trim automatically option. This allows you to customize the duration of individual media elements as needed.

You can check the length of a segment by going to media properties and checking it as shown below.

Changing the media duration to 0

You can set the duration of an image or video to 0. If you do this, the AI will maintain the ideal duration of the video and adjust the duration of other media in the same segment accordingly.

If a segment contains only one media (noticeable by the grey lines between each media).

You can replace it with stock media of a longer duration or use the generative media option to create a new image or video using AI, which will count toward your credits.
